In all seasons, after leaving her small local school, Claire and her pony were setting off through the woods and meadows until dusk.
On the return, warm and well-starved, Claire was going to do her homework until she obtained her doctorate in chemistry and physics.
During her higher studies Claire travelled the world working in humanitarian aid and biodiversity conservation, and worked for
UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) for several years.
After working as a researcher at the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and as a teacher at the University, Claire puts down her backpack.
"I came to my farm to reconnect with nature and this taste of wildness in me since childhood"
A specificity of the Ferme des Verveines comes from the fact that only one person, Claire, works as a farmer-cheesemaker-refiner.
This continuity allows us to develop a sensitivity, a particular knowledge of living things, from the life of the soil to the flora
natural meadows and milk, to achieve this concentrate of life: cheese.
